About the project
ForexNews24 is a portal of technical expertise in trading. We do not compare brokers and we do not publish personal stories. We break down methodologies, test strategies on historical data and show the code.
Method
- We state a testable hypothesis before looking at the results.
- We test on historical data with real trading costs factored in — spread, commission and slippage.
- We validate on out-of-sample data to rule out overfitting.
- We publish the methodology, parameters and the sample data — the result can be reproduced and checked.

Transparency: what we do and don't do
- Publish the test methodology alongside every result
- Cite the source of the historical data for each study
- Show losing periods and drawdowns, not just the profit
- Disclose our commercial connection to Allocation openly
- Run paid broker reviews or rankings
- Promise guaranteed returns or a "holy grail"
- Hide execution costs in backtest calculations
- Pass educational material off as investment advice
How the portal is used in practice
A retail trader vets an idea before going live
A reader finds a methodology (for example, "Swing trading"), takes the ready strategy example and its code, and runs it on their own historical data before risking real capital.
A robot developer checks their build against a reference
In the Robots section an engineer compares the logic of their EA with the published reference code in MQL5 or Python and spots discrepancies in risk sizing or entry filters.
An analyst uses the catalogue to compare approaches
The filters in the Strategies catalogue make it quick to compare the return and drawdown of same-type systems across timeframes before choosing a direction for their own research.
Commercial connection
The portal carries no paid reviews or pay-to-place broker rankings. Our only commercial connection is a mention of Allocation where a reviewed methodology is directly implemented in it, and it is always marked as an explicit block rather than woven quietly into the text.
